Definitions

Compersion

  

A positive, joyous feeling in response to a partner interacting romantically or sexually with someone else.

Jealousy

  

A psychological state in which one has concerns or worrying thoughts about infidelity or loss of one’s partner, and may have urges to monitor or control their partner. This psychological state is often associated with negative feelings, including suspiciousness and worrying. 

Consensual non-monogamy (CNM)

A relationship  in which individuals agree to consent to their partners having emotional or sexual  relationships outside of their relationship. CNM relationships generally are a more  all-encompassing approach and may be considered an umbrella of multi-partner  relationships. When two or more people are involved, they may be referred to as a triad, a  quad, and moresomes .

Polyamory

Polyamory has been described by the polyamorous community as having core values   in honesty, commitment, agreements, and decision-making, integrity, and equity, with  regard to the specific value of sexual ethics .

Metamour

 A metamour is your partner’s other partner.
